Six years after Rodeo Massacre LP, and one year after the SOLeils EP, ULAN BATOR return with a brand new full-length album, Tohu-Bohu.

Created by the new line-up: Amaury Cambuzat (founder member), James Johnston (Gallon Drunk, Lydia Lunch Big Sexy Noise, ex- Bad Seeds), Stéphane Pigneul (Object, Heligoland) and Alessio Gioffredi (Dilatazione) /Tohu-Bohu resonates with a new and vital sound of it's own, whilst also reflecting the most crucial elements of the band's career: the lyricism of masterpiece Ego:Echo (Produced by Michael Gira - young god records - 2000), the animal spontaneity of Végétale (Disques du Soleil et de l'Acier - 1997) and the rage of odeo Massacre (Jestrai - 2005).

The cover art is taken from the original work “End Of Days”© by the American visionary painter Norbert H. Kox, and perfectly illustrates the main themes of the album. The heart of the album lies in the confusion and disorder of our human relationships, warped by the apparition of social networks; the irresponsibility of a politic world which loses control presented with lived realities; and religious confusions stemming from a prophecy announcing chaos, the ancient colliding with the modern. The madness of our current times, right here, right now!

ULAN BATOR started their long carrier in 1993 in Paris as a duet composed of Amaury Cambuzat (Vox, Guitar and keyboards) and Olivier Manchion (Bass).
Their first rehearsals sessions happened in a deep, unused chalk-mine in the suburbs of Paris.
This strange location was, step by step, transformed into a "recording studio" where they were to record, compose and produce their first three recordings. ... more
